This student is working sort of independently as he's already taken algebra as a 7th grader. He's had a lot of autonomy with respect to <i>how</i> we decide to do geometry. He started the year by trying to prove the theorems in the book (his choice) and we've recently started going with a mire problem based approach. This question was all his and it came out if the blue. I suppose it may have been a residual of all of the proofs he'd previously done.
