Final exam. One question.
How Tall Is It?
"Show me two different ways you could figure the height of the building."
"That's easy, Mr. Cox. Measure a brick and count the number of rows."
"Alright, make it three, smart guy."
Trying to make it matter.

Was this really your final exam?
Sam
Hi Sam
Yes and no. Yes it was the start of our final "project" of the year...not really a final 'exam' in the true sense. Our middle school doesn't technically have to give finals. In fact before I got here, our middle schools submitted final grades like two weeks before the end of the school year. I called it a final exam for their sakes because I want them to uderstand the value of working right up until the end of the year.
These guys invented a clinometer (with minimal direction from me, no doubt) and discovered that you could use the geometric mean to calculate the height. I'll post on that soon...pretty cool stuff.
How's the end of the year going? I like what I'm reading re: your study guides. May have to pick that one up next year.
